Long recognized for producing world-class wines, Meerlust Estate has been the pride of the Myburgh family since 1756.Johannes Albertus Myburgh bought Meerlust in January 1757.
His ownership marked the foundation of the Myburgh Dynasty.
The Meerlust family includes 75 farm workers and their families. Leila Falletisch, a qualified social worker, manages a dynamic social development program.

Meerlust Estate Pinot Noir 2008  The nose has lifted scents of autumn fruit, wild strawberry, musky perfume and a distinct minerality. The palate is medium bodied with pure Pinot Noir fruit flavours of plum and red cherry supported by an ultra-fine, densely textured tannin structure which adds to the volume and vivacity of the wine.
