But in the mean time, let me tell you about who we are, where
we've been, and where we're going!
- Cybercellar.com was the first internet site to specialize
in marketing South African wines, starting in 1998 (!) and was the
first internet-focused wine retail company in South Africa.
- Cybercellar.com is an established wine marketing,
distribution, consulting and web enablement company based in the Cape
Winelands. Fully e-commerce enabled, Cybercellar.com currently retails
over 1000 specially selected South African wines from nearly 250 different
producers to clients all over the world.
- Cybercellar.com's core business over the first two
years was one of business-to-consumer in the domestic market, and we
have since additionally focused our efforts on the global market, particularly
to the US and Europe, in addition to B2B diversification
- Cybercellar.com hosts a number of wine industry
websites including the very successful John
Platter Online, and facilitates e-commerce for several wine producers
and other non-wine e-commerce companies.
- Cybercellar.com is additionally involved in e-enabling
the South African wine community by offering web design and web hosting
to the SA wine producers and other related organisations, creating
an online community for the wine industry.
- Cybercellar.com aims to be the facilitator of Internet
sales of South African wine to as many consumers on a global basis
as humanly possible. If you're somewhere where we're not currently
able to send wine to cost effectively, please write to us and we will
endeavour to rectify that! info@cybercellar.com
The Cybercellar Team:
- Fiona Phillips is the Chief Executive Officer. Fiona has extensive business experience gained during eleven years as an equity derivatives trader in London and Johannesburg. She is a member of MENSA (U.K.) and has an M.B.A. from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. Fiona has completed several Cape Wine Academy courses, culminating in Diploma II. Her passion for wine and her fascination for the limitless possibilities of the Internet motivated the start-up of Cybercellar in 1998.
- Andrew Leaver is the Chief Operating Officer. His passion for wine was born while studying law at Stellenbosch and when an opportunity came up to help Nicky Versfeld in the cellar at Steenberg Vineyards he seized it. Thereafter he moved the UK and cut his teeth in the global wine market working at Bibendum Wine Ltd for 8 years. Having completed various wine qualifications in South Africa and the UK, Andrew decided it was time to return back to South Africa to continue his career in the wine trade. His passions are his insanely cute boys, their mother, cooking and wines made by individuals who believe that their wines are an expression and interpretation of their vineyards above all
- Richard Cranna Marketing Executive, He is currently moving onto his third year of a B.Com Marketing degree. He decided to enter the wine industry because he has a young passion for wine and wants to build onto it as the years go by.
- Tammy Pierce Logistics Manager, She is responsible for ordering your wines and getting them right!
- Attie Adams has been at Cybercellar since 1999. He is responsible for collecting all the wines from the farms for us. He is the main cog in us getting our orders out as fast as possible and is also Cybercellar’s very own handyman!

From
the vineyards of the fairest Cape, our Cybercellar.com offers an eminently
enjoyable range of specially selected South African wines for delivery
around the globe.
Whether a connoisseur, a collector or a casual quaffer, we've no doubt
you'll find a bunch of great vintages to suit both your palate and your
pocket. Our service is guaranteed, professional, prompt and 100% reliable.
And if there's a specific label you're looking for that's not in the
cellar, we'll track it down. After all, we've got a nose for this sort
of thing . ;-)
