Le Bonheur Estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon holds a deep ruby red hue. On the nose, expect cherry and prune upfront, with cigar box, dark chocolate and subtle vanilla oak in pursuit. This is a wine that is full in body, which great tannins structure and a lengthy aftertaste. Flavours on the palate include pine needle and cherry.
Cellar it for 8 to 10 years from vintage.
It can be enjoyed with red meat dishes and mature, hard cheeses, or enjoy a glass on its own.
From Franschhoek wine estate, Vrede en Lust, comes a sensational Rhone Blend in the form of the Côtes de Savoye. Meticulously crafted using a blend of 49% Syrah, 45% Grenache and 6% Viognier, the wine positions each varietal’s unique character in harmony with next, to create an elegant and expressive flavour profile that rewards the nose and palate. Intense red fruit and violet aromas immediately greet the nose before tumbling on to a soft, juicy palate that is well complimented by supple tannins which impart a lovely weight and texture to the wine.
Le Bonheur’s Tricorne has proven what it’s made of time and time again by winning several awards, including a “Silver Outstanding” for its 2009 vintage at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. Holding a deep ruby red colour, it offers a nose alive with berries, white pepper and vanilla. A luscious, silky entry follows with flavours of spice and berries, supported by vanilla oak. It shows good longevity with an ageing potential of 10 to 12 years. Try it with game, red meats, poultry, pastas, duck or even with seafood.
A tight wine with minerality and classic length and complexity. Unusually prominent pear and lime fruit aromas are brought beautifully into focus by a tight line of bright natural acid. An elegant, yet textured and intense wine with a strong personality of both place and vintage.
This Chardonnay displays a bouquet of lifted apricot blossom, lemon and suggestions of vanilla and oak. The palate shows prominent pineapple and ripe pear characters, interlaced with chalky acidity. This wine is creamy and nutty with a soft refined palate and finishes with great intensity.
Very tight and youthful with firm grape tannins that are laced with a delicate, feminine perfume ofpomegranate and sour cherry. Harvested from three vineyards of which two are planted in the
decomposed granite soils of the Paardeberg Mountain and the remainder is organically farmed to
the north of Malmesbury in deeper clay-driven soils.
