Your next #LIQUIDSOCIAL curator comes from none other than legendary South African wine estate, Neil Ellis Wines. Here’s introducing your curator for December, Warren Ellis!
After four decades of wine making, Warren’s father, Neil Ellis, passed the baton to him. Warren now leads winemaking and viticulture on the farm. This was a dream come true for young Ellis, who set out to be a winemaker as a kid. He started helping his dad in the cellar and vineyard at a young age and has since put in the work by completing both a BSc and MSc Agric in Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch.
He officially joined the team at Neil Ellis in 2006. He also recently extended his knowledge by traveling abroad, researching the best in international cellar technology and viticulture.
When asked about his winemaking philosophy, Warren will tell you that he wants to make distinctive, refined wines that are expressive of their terroir and rank amongst South Africa’s finest.
His pursuit of perfection was recognized in 2017 when he was invited to be part of the prestigious Cape Winemakers Guild. This is an association of experts in the wine industry, celebrated for being at the forefront when it comes to being pioneers in their field.
Whether you’re subscribed to the Discovery pack, starting at R650, or part of the Elite at R1800, you can be sure that this month’s curation will be filled to the brim with wines of composure and finesse.
