Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting the lucky winner of the Springfield Win Wine for a Year Competition. The winner, Karlien du Preez of Vredehoek was the lucky recipient of over 180 bottles of wine from the prestigious wine estate in Robertson. Karlien, who has recently turned 30, works as a psychological therapist, specifically focusing on depression and other mental health health challenges.
We arrived at her apartment with a bakkie loaded with wine and as we unpacked it into her apartment, we all wondered if she had enough space to store the surprisingly large amount of cases! Karlien was naturally thrilled to be chosen as the winner and commented that she would have to start hosting a lot of dinner parties to even make a dent in the stock!
Gavin Forsyth, CMO of Cybercellar, when handing over the prize, had the following to say “Having given away wine for a year for almost twelve months now, it was a privilege to partner with a prestigious estate like Springfield, which is one of South Africa’s most loved estates. It warms a spot in my heart to give this to a loyal Cybercellar customer, whereas in the past, the prize has not necessarily gone to a customer!”
The prize consisted of the following wines from the estate:
- Life from Stone
- Special Cuvée
- Miss Lucy
- Wild Yeast
- Whole Berry
- Work of Time
- Méthode Ancienne Chardonnay
The competition ran from the end of August to October for a total of six weeks on all of Cybercellar’s social media platforms. Entry was as simple as filling out your details on the competition page for one entry. Sharing the competition earned you more entries and heightened your chances of winning. As your friends and family entered, so your chances of winning increased!
