As a previous Platter Winery of the Year, Chamonix is known to produce wines of a high pedigree. Their Cabernet Franc is no different. Possessing a dark ruby mulberry colour, the wine has a vast bouquet, brimming with raspberries, bell peppers, cigar box and spice. The structure is ample and displays a mouth-filling mix of berry and intense fruit. Tannins are present, but only enough to cover the fruit. This red will only become better as it ages over 5 years from vintage. Relish it with a medium-rare steak with mushroom sauce or a beef short rib casserole.
