Pale gold in colour, the Colmant Brut Reserve is an elegantly refined Méthode Cap Classic. Delicate toasted spice, fragrant citrus and yeasty perfume aromas abound the nose, following on to a well-defined palate. A creamy ribbon of acidity runs through the length of the palate, tempering the concentrated yeast and toasted bread flavours and creating a well-balanced profile. The Colmant Brut Reserve concludes in a long, smooth finish.
Pinot Noir 52%, Chardonnay 48% (Franschhoek, Robertson, Elgin, Somerset-West and Stellenbosch). 10% of the blend is made of reserve wine from the previous vintage and 12% of the base wine is barrel fermented.
