The palate showcases lively red fruit, blackcurrant and dark chocolate, supported by well-incorporated oak and a lengthy, spicy aftertaste. The wine's ample structure lends it good age ability.
Pair it with rich and spicy red meat dishes, especially venison. Hard, strongly flavoured cheeses also provide great accompaniments.
