The Eagles' Nest Viognier has so much to recommend it. Probably the most noteworthy endorsement comes from wine guru, Robert Parker, who gave the 2012 vintage an absolutely outstanding score of 93.
In appearance, the wine possesses a green-gold colour. Barrel fermented and matured, the nose of this wine is typically Viognier, with apricot and ripe peach aromas, subsequently joined by jasmine. A refreshing, expressive palate displays white stone pip flavours and spices. A crisp, pure, persistent finish rounds it off.
Versatile in terms of pairing, it will accompany Moroccan or Indian fare, white meat, fish, or shellfish well.
