Kwak Ale has a rich history attached to it as it is named after Pauwel Kwak, a famous Belgian brewer back in the 1700s. This is a Strong Pale Ale that is crafted from barley malts, wheat, hops, white candy sugar and mineral water. It is top-fermented, filtered and pasteurised. Deep amber in colour, Kwak yields a firm head if poured correctly, and presents earthy and malty aromas with a hint of liquorice, as well as strong red fruit and yeast scents. On the palate there are caramel, orange peel and herb flavours, leading to a bitter, herbal finish.
