The name is derived from the Swartland's Porselein (Porcelain) mountains, Boekenhoutskloof acquired the farm in 2009 and is managing a major planting programme based on organic, even biodynamic principles. Most of the grapes are delivered to Boekenhoutskloof, but winemaker Callie Louw crafts one exquisite wine from the older vines. The Porseleinberg Syrah has superlative complexity, purity and identity. Cured meats, black fruit and savoury spice on the nose. A powerful wine that will last for 20+ years and the ultimate collectors item to cellar.
