KottabosChenin Blanc 2019
Availability: 6 in stock
Yet another brilliant project by brilliant winemaker Reenen Borman of Boschkloof. This Chenin from the Polkadraai hills in Stellenbosch is beautifully aromatic, with lime, white peach and floral notes alongside a hint of leesiness. The palate is equally delicate, with incredible purity of fruit, a lean acidity and steely finish.
And the name? A reminder of both the incredible history and sense of fun in winemaking. “Kottabos” – a game played by the ancient Greeks in which wine lees was flung at targets while uttering the name of the object of one’s affection.
