Rust En Vrede EstateCabernet Sauvignon 2019

This is one of South Africa’s finest Cabernet Sauvignons and, coming from a leading red wine production estate, it is no surprise. The Rust En Vrede Estate Cabernet Sauvignon undergoes maturation for 18 months in French oak, followed by 9 months bottle-maturation. An inviting dark opaque colour, this wine shows typical Cabernet aromas of cassis and lead pencil along with mocha. The tannins grip the tongue firmly, exhibiting a “tighter” wine style with excellent phenolic ripeness and a distinct aftertaste.
