In the Vineyards: All the grapes came from a block on the farm, Klein Welmoed in Stellenbosch. All the vineyards are trellised. All grapes are harvested by hand in individual bins in optimal conditions to ensure true quality from beginning to end.
In the Cellar: This wine was whole bunch pressed. It was then naturally fermented in predominantly (70%) older French oak barrels with the remainder ageing in a fermentation egg. It spent around 7 months on the lees. The wine was later blended before bottling. The ageing of the wine gives it beautiful depth and a rounded mouth feel. It has lovely white fruit like golden delicious apple and pear on the palate and rounded off with a touch of honey.
