There is a "lost" clone of Chenin Blanc called the Montpellier. Although widely planted up until the '90s, it was never a high yielding clone, which meant that the mainstream production of wine saw the clone becoming less and less popular. Luckily for Raised By Wolves winemaker Adam Mason, he was lucky enough to secure a tiny, triangular (driehoek) vineyard of the grapes grown from the Montpellier clone. The resulting wine is one of depth and flavour, with a pithy texture and a refreshing citrus twist.
