From an old vineyard in the Franschhoek wine valley comes this absolutely unique expression of Semillon. Made in a minimal intervention style, the juice was simply whole-bunch pressed and left overnight. It was transferred into neutral oak barrels the next day where fermentation and maturation took place. The wine has an expressive and appealing nose of hay, pear, quince, apple and herbs. The broad palate has a tangy acidity with a savoury finish. It is a seamless wine that is super delicious, without being particularly rich or textured.
