Destined for international exports, the Neil Ellis Left Bank is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Cinsaut, made to be a delicious drinking partner to a variety of palates. The grapes are sourced from multiple vineyards in the Western Cape, from soils that are mostly clay loam to granite and shale. The wine spent 14 months in French oak barrels of which 10% was in new oak and the remainder in 2nd, 3rd & 4th fill barrels. The result is a full-bodied wine dense in flavour, yet soft in structure. Expect dark cherries, plums, hints of spice, well integrated oak and fine soft tannins.
