Strandveld’s Adamastor is named after the mythical god of wind and storms, as the vineyards that the wine is born out of struggle against relentless winds year round. The pay-off is that these vineyards are low-yielding and produce concentrated flavours. The wine is a classic Bordeaux-style white blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc that shows wet gravel, gun flint and floral aromas. The palate is full and creamy, with an interweaving of toasted oak and a dry minerality on the finish.
