The composition of the Alphabetical Vin Ordinaire varies from vintage to vintage but it is usually led by Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. It is a mixture of grapes sourced from the Swartland and Stellenbosch, and is produced as naturally as possible. The vines are cultivated without insecticides or pesticides, there is minimal intervention in the cellar and very little added sulphur. The resultant wine is well rounded and shows ripe fruit flavours, smooth tannins and a spicy, dry aftertaste inviting you to keep sipping. It beautifully demonstrates the dark fruit flavours from Stellenbosch and the luscious nature of Swartland wines.
